Integration Apps

Register your own Slack and HubSpot apps so the consent screens your clients see carry your name instead of AI Chatbot’s.

When a client connects Slack or HubSpot to one of their agents, the provider shows a consent screen naming the app that asks for access. By default that is AI Chatbot’s app. Register your own app with the provider and enter its credentials under Agency > Integrations, and the consent screen carries your name and logo instead.

The page is visible to the agency owner only. Leave a provider empty to keep using AI Chatbot’s app for it. WhatsApp needs no agency app: each agent already connects with its own Meta app.

Setup

  1. Create an app at api.slack.com/apps.

     

  2. Under OAuth & Permissions, add the redirect URLs shown on the Integrations page. One is on the AI Chatbot host and, once your custom domain is verified, one is on that domain. A client can start the connection from either, so both must be registered. Use the copy button next to each URL.
  3. In the same section, add these bot token scopes: app_mentions:read, channels:read, chat:write, groups:read, im:read, mpim:read, users:read.
  4. Under Event Subscriptions, enable events, set the request URL shown on the Integrations page, and subscribe to the bot events app_mention, message.im and message.mpim.
  5. Copy the app’s Client ID and Client Secret from Basic Information into the Slack app section and save.

The events request URL is always on the AI Chatbot host, never on your custom domain. Slack posts events there and AI Chatbot routes each one to the right agent.

HubSpot

  1. In your HubSpot developer account, create a public app.
  2. Under Auth, add the redirect URLs shown on the Integrations page.

  3. Add the scopes crm.objects.contacts.read, crm.objects.contacts.write, tickets and oauth. Add scheduler.meetings.meeting-link.read as an optional scope if your clients use the HubSpot bookings tool.

  4. Copy the app’s Client ID and Client secret into the HubSpot app section and save.

How Credentials Are Stored

  • The client secret is stored encrypted and never shown again. The field shows a placeholder while one is stored; enter a new value to replace it.
  • A new or changed client ID needs its own secret. AI Chatbot never pairs an ID with a secret from a different app.
  • Clearing the client ID clears the secret and switches that provider back to AI Chatbot’s app.

Connections your clients made through your app belong to that app. If you change or remove the HubSpot client ID, those connections can no longer be refreshed: the client’s Settings page marks the HubSpot connection as needing a new connection, and lead sync pauses until they disconnect and connect again. Slack tokens do not expire, so Slack connections keep working for as long as your Slack app exists.
